Tips to increase Vista Shutdown Speed

I've been using Windows Vista for more than two years...
It's going smooth..
Many people using Vista are concerned with increasing
the shut-down speed of their lappy or pc..
If you're having a freshly installed OS you won't be having
much problem with the shut-down..
But if your system is not formatted for a long time,
you will be pissed off with the delay..
It is for such a situation that I'm suggesting some cool tips..

If you're a high-end professional working with secure data,
I regret for this is not meant to you..Forget this..
If you're an end-user then you can try this..

It may be useful to create a restore point before you
try registry edit so that even if you make a mistake you
can easily recover...

Tip 1: Disable clearing the page file at shutdown

Page File is one which stores the User Activity Data
Although many people prefer to have the page file
cleared on shutdown for security reasons,
it does increase the shutdown time...
If the speed of things is more of a priority than security,
you can prevent Vista from clearing the page file by
completing these few simple steps

I am giving snapshots for you to understand easily

Press the Windows key + R in your key board
A window like below will pop up..
Type the command regedit and press enter

The following window will pop up..

Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\MemoryManagement
(See the yellow highlighted portion)

Double click ClearPageFileAtShutdown.
Change the value to 0
Click OK
Close the Registry Editor.

Tip 2:Change the value of WaitToKillServiceTimeout

When you shut down Windows OS, it attempts to end all services that are
currently running. If a service does not respond nor shuts down, Windows
will wait a specific amount of time before forcing the service to end
Minimizing this time will have a nice impact on your shutdown..

Repeat the above procedure until you reach CurrentControlSet/Control
In the details pane, double click the WaitToKillServiceTimeout. The default
value may be 8050 milliseconds or 8.5 seconds.

Change the value to to 5000
Don’t try below 5000.
The system may hang up causing problems…

The person next door

Today I saw a movie,
"The Black Hawk Down".
Not intentional,But just came across

It is a film by Ridley Scott, the renowned director
known for Gladiator & Hannibal..
Produced by acclaimed Jerry Bruckheimer
known for Pearl Harbor & Armagedon

The story based on a real incident
It goes like this..
In 1993,an elite group of American Rangers &
Delta Force soldiers are sent to Somalia to capture a
violent warload whose corrupt regime has lead to starvation
of hundreds of thousands of Somalis. When the mission goes
quickly and terribly wrong, the men find themselves
outnumbered and literally fighting for their lives..

I wondered at the technical perfection..
The battlefield scenario is depicted as it is..
The struggle of the brave soldiers is brought about clearly..
The importance of proper acoustics in a film is felt..
The film won two acdemy awards for
Best Sound and Best Film Editing

The film is giving the inspiration to increase our concern
for the man at the next door..

I should mention "The Hurt Locker" directed by Katheryn Bigelow
which sweeped six of the Academy Awards for 2010 including
Best Picture and Best Director for Bigelow,
who became the first woman to win the award.
The film also swept many of the 2010 BAFTA awards.
It is a masterpiece which tells the heart-touching story of a
United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team
during the Iraq War.

Hosanna in the highest..

Today is an important day for all the Donkeys..
Do you know why?
It is because this is the day when Jesus had a
ride on one of their ancestors..
This is the day of recognition..
And also submission..
A whole hearted submission will make you recognized..
Even if you're nothing,
You just give everything to the hands of Jesus
And watch how everything can be derived from nothing..

Mr. Unfortunate

I was surrounded by water,
But not even a drop to drink..
I took the ticket,
But I missed my train..
I wanted to live like human..
But circumstances was the villain..
I got a lot of money,
But I died before spending it..
I had a lot of talents,
But I got nobody to encourage..
I found my sweet-heart,
But she was the mistress of loneliness..
I was gifted with parents to love me,
But I couldn't feel their love..
I got vaccinated,
But was already infected..
I found the door,
But I lost the key..
I had knowledge,
But I failed to apply..
My army was strong,
But tactics made the difference..
I strived to reach my destination..
But I took the wrong turn..

And destiny planned something else for me..

The Motel

Is it the end of the world?
I looked around,weary
to see nothing.
a battle for survival
with everything contaminated.
With my bottle empty,
I was alone in the road
with my head heavy,
and my sight dim.
I had to stop for the night.
A cool wind blew my hair apart.
There she stood
in the entrance
of that trail motel
with her lips glowing red
broadcasting for survivors
Is it heaven or a hell?
I'd made my decision
she lighted the candle.
I saw somebody dancing,
in the courtyard.
I was stunned..
"How could they..?"
I was interrupted.
"some dance to remember,
others to forget"
We're the slaves
of our own device.
She filled the glass.
I made my throat wet.
We gathered for the dinner
to see someting strange
in my plate.
I stabbed it with my knives,
But I couldn't kill it.
I couldn't stay for long.
She filled my bottles
"Thanks for the courtesy"
I couldn't thank her more.
I ran for the door,
to find the passage back
to the place I was before.

A word on education...

"Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward."
-- Vernon Law

Education should be mainly based on experience.. Education shouldn't be merely the fulfillment of a curriculum. It should nurture the hidden capacities of a child and groom them into responsible citizens of the future..

Education should not only be contemporary and conceptually relevant but also accessable, affordable, appropriately leveraged with technology, inclusive, sustainable and constantly scalable..

Education should be for excellence and not merely for a job..If you'
re excellent then the job automatically follows you..

Think reverse..

It will be drastic....

You will get a job..But you will be kicked off for sure when some experts comes..
Classrooms are now becoming the most comfortable place for a student to sleep..
One who excels from his education will always be an expert or vice versa...

An incident in Haryana

A panchayat in Bhiwani in Haryana has annulled a marriage between a boy and girl of the same clan. The meeting was headed by former Haryana Chief Minister Hukam Singh. The newly weds have fled to Rajasthan fearing for the lives but their family back home is at the receiving end. Not only is it ostracized, the panchayat has even banned them from selling their land. The turnout at the panchayat meeting called to decide what punishment should be given to the family whose son married a girl from the same clan was very high. In rural Haryana where the writ of the panchayat is feared more than the law of the land, the former chief minister was quick to pass the verdict."We can't allow this. They have to break it or face action. This can never be allowed. This is our law," the former CM declared.

The panchayat ruled that the wedding must be terminated within a week, else strict action will be taken.Sixty-year-old Randhir Singh and his wife have been ostracized ever since their son, Sribhagwan, married a girl from the neighbouring village a fortnight ago. After the wedding, the couple fled to Rajasthan, where Sribhagwan works as a police constable.Caught between the panchayat's diktat and hostile villagers, his parents now live in fear.

"What can we do? We are not safe here. Panchayat is against us and the entire village," says Randhir Singh. The panchayat has now banned the family from selling their land. And if they decide to leave the village, the panchayat would take over their property.

Some interesting facts:

-> The incident happened on the same day when the UPA alliance tried to pass the Women Reservation Bill.(No security even for men,I wonder what is case with women?)

->The Khap panchayat was headed by former Haryana Chief Minister Hukam Singh.

->There are some laws in our country exclusively made by some states

which are above the law of the land.

My skylark

I was so cruel
I was so selfish..
I imprisoned my skylark in a prison..
The strongest prison in the world..
One much stonger than the Alcatraz
You're not to be mistaken..
Its not made of steel..Not of iron..
Its walls are made of love..

Without knowing her passions..
her ambitions...
She was thirsty for something..
I didn't mind..
She was weaping..
I didn't notice..
Finally she fainted..
I was sad..
I didn't understand what was my mistake..
I did love her..
Didn't I give her enough?
I heard somebody whispering at me..
"Foolish guy"
I was forced to make a retrospection..
Then i realized my mistake..
Something I should never have done..
What am I?
A man who created a hell with love..

I released my skylark ..
It dissappeared in the air..
I was empty..
With my eyes full of tears..
I thought it would never come back..
A result of my bad business..
I kept my eyes wide open..
I was longing for her..
All of a sudden..
I heard a melody...
From the heavens..
I identified the voice..
It's my skylark..
Soon came the realization..
The things that she wanted..
To soar in the sky...
To recite poems in her loneliness..
To beg mighty Zeus for the rains...
I wept..
Tears of happiness..
Soon came the thunder..
And then the rains..
I was blushed..
Moreover she is the SKYLARK..
